There are zero speed bumps in The Morning Flower (or what I lovingly call it… Ulla’s Ultroneous Adventures)! Amanda Hocking puts the action pedal to the metal!

I ❤❤❤ the Trylle and Kanin series… but I ❤❤❤❤❤ the Omte Origins! There is just something about Ulla that connects directly to my heart. She doesn’t fit in a standardized societal mold – Ulla is taller, stronger, curvier… her features are not symmetrical, her hair is crazy, and she was orphaned as a child… she is also a study in contrasts. Ulla is independent, but loves socializing. She is confident in her intelligence, but not completely at ease with her image. She is passionate (… Jem-Kruk… Pan 😉), but hesitant to let go. Ulla’s character is as multi-faceted as the series while managing to share the spotlight with the other equally diverse cast. Finally, a heroine who creates her own due North – no apologies, few regrets, and catnip to more than a fair share of trolls. If readers can’t understand the perfection in perceived imperfection then they don’t deserve to celebrate Omte Awesomeness!

Though I am excited for the third book to drop, I’m also sad that such a unique series is coming to an end. Bravo AH!!!
