Blythe the Undoing … has a softer side … maybe – well, don’t blink or you’ll miss it, but still … There is no doubt, however, that the harphantom excels at stealing Rue the Day You Killed My Consort Astrah@!e’s (Roux for short) internal organs – and this should seem revengey and mean, but kind of falls just shy of flirting. Besides the next test of Astra Task Olympics between the warlords and Erebus the Excrement (personally, I think he just wants to be #10 – ya know, part of the killer crew), there is a smaller (in stature only) character that I could not get enough of – Isla, Blythe’s daughter – wise, cunning, and deadly (coming soon to Harpina). If she doesn’t play a role in the upcoming books I’d be surprised, though I also won’t be surprised if (when 👀) she gets her own spinoff. The Phantom begins the thirty day task between Roux and Erebus, and since Erebus’ daughter is Blythe, who just so happens to want that particular Astra taken out, it is no surprise that Papa E brings her into the games! Showalter pulls so many Houdini slights of hand YOU WILL NEVER see the ending, until THE END!

May this series continue indefinitely! Rise of the Warlords is breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert for the soul! If you need your copy of The Phantom, I’ve attached an Amazon link below. If you would like to receive an email when I post new reviews, Subscribe Now!
