It’s been five long years since Hocking released a new book in the Trylle world – and I know I’m not the only troll fan rejoicing! The Lost City is the first book in the Omte Origins trilogy – the FINAL trilogy in this world (sigh)… And Holy Wow, is AH signing off her troll adventures with a BANG! Ulla Tulin is our Omte heroin, parentage unknown, nanny to Finn and Mia’s children (yes!!! I said Finn), all-around extraordinary young woman, and (by Fate and with a certain Trylle queen’s help) an academia tomb transcriber at the infamous Mimirin – a troll historical hub. Befriending the mysterious Eliana, an otherworldly trollesque girl with memory issues, who may or may not be the lynchpin to Ulla’s parentage, but is most definitely the catalyst to discovering why she was orphaned as an infant, will leave readers attempting to finish the puzzle – word to the wise – save your strength.
The Omte Origins series is nothing short of 8.0 on the Richter scale with plenty of aftershocks to keep fans breathless for weeks! I am diving into the second book as soon as I click POST on this review. I hope my subscribers and fellow troll lovers let me know how you liked this Omte intro!
